Episode 18
Abhishek hadn’t sold a single insurance policy during the month. Abhimanyu called him to his desk to straighten him out. Abhimanyu was furious. He told Abhishek that if he doesn’t do any business this month, he might be asked to leave. The message was clear. Abhimanyu asked him to visit a couple of his high potential clients and close a deal by end of the day.
Abhishek straight away went to Deepika’s desk to tell her what had happened. She consoled him and asked him to do as Abhimanyu says. She also told her that Tilak has been getting on to her nerves.
“He’s always asking these weird questions and always passing some remarks on Delhi and how Delhi girls behave. I don’t like that guy”
“You should tell Boss about this” suggested Abhishek
“I will; if he doesn’t stops” she replied
Abhishek took some forms and left the office to meet some of his clients. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu was busy working and Ashok was also pre-occupied. Kabir was getting bored. He didn’t want to disturb either one of the core group members. He was looking for some entertainment but nobody was available. But, as they say, if your heart is pure, wonderful things could happen!
Deepika came to Abhimanyu with news. Kabir knew something was brewing up and it was his moral obligation to be there. So, he also went to Abhimanyu’s desk. So did Ashok.
“Boss, Abhishek just called” said Deepika
“And?”
“He’s had a minor accident”
“What?!”
“Not an accident… Someone hit his car from behind” she replied
Kabir knew that there was more to the story. He had a gut feeling that there's something more and then Deepika let it out.
“He was crying, Boss” replied Deepika with a grin on her face
Now it was time for some fun!
“What did he say?” probed Kabir
“Well, he told me how someone rammed the car into his Honda from behind. His voice wsa frill while he talked, so I asked him”
“What?” asked Ashok
“I asked him whether he was crying” replied Deepika
“What did he say?”
“He burst into tears! He said…”
“My car, Deepika, my new car…” she replied
“New?! It’s been over a year since he bought his Honda City!” replied Kabir
Every body burst out laughing. Nobody was even remotely concerned about the fact that Abhishek had met with an accident. The core group had reconvened and it was time to call Abhishek.
“Don’t tell him that I told you that he was crying!” said Deepika and left
“Don’t worry we won’t” replied Kabir with a smirk
“Kaisa aadmi hai yaar yeh Abhishek! He started crying! What a masterpiece!” said Abhimanyu
“Let’s grill him once he’s back” suggested Ashok
